This is a big guitar with a great volume and a deep response, yet the JS is also able to capture a more subtle smooth sound. While this guitar is most impressive when played in hard and aggressive style it still delivers throughout the whole dynamic range. The JS is a great choice for a 12-string model because its big bass response balances nicely with the additional treble strings. Adding the cutaway option is an excellent choice on the jumbo as the reduction in the air volume of the soundbox is quite insignificant.

John has used the "Manzer-Style" wedge to make this bigger guitar a little more comfortable to play. It is a good way of making this big guitar feel smaller than it actually is.
